Broccolini was mandated to design, develop and build two towers totaling over 900,000 sq.ft. of Class A office space for the Department of Public Works and Government Services Canada (PWGSC) in Gatineau. The construction of these new buildings, aimed at achieving LEED Gold certification, would help address the government agencies' and departments' lack of space. The 15-storey, 432,210-sq.ft office tower, is located on Promenade du Portage Street in the heart of downtown Gatineau, adjacent to the PWGSC's existing building. With architecture combining heritage features and high-tech efficiency, its design allows the building to optimize the use of space while renovating and improving a significant element of the city's urban landscape, and harmonizing with the PWGSC's existing facilities.
