The new 40-storey building will rise 200 metres above ground and will total approximately 1.1 million square feet of office space. It will be connected to the Montreal underground city (RÉSO) and stand adjacent to a 40,000-sq. ft. urban park open to the public.
Among the distinctive features planned for the new headquarters are a two-level cafeteria, a daycare, a fitness centre, 400 bicycle parking spaces, 80 charging stations for electric vehicles and an outdoor garden on the 40th floor.
In order to achieve LEED v4 Gold and WELL certification, the building will be built according to the strictest sustainable building conventions in the world. The ground breaking took place at the end of 2018, and construction should be completed in the spring of 2023.
