Export Development Canada (EDC) is Canada's largest export credit agency. As a crown corporation, EDC's mandate is to grow and develop Canada's trade. EDC provides trade finance and risk mitigation services to Canadian companies to help them compete internationally.

Following a rigorous and competitive procurement process, Broccolini was awarded the mandate to design, develop and build EDC's LEED Gold head office. Located in the heart of Ottawa's Central Business District, the EDC office tower is a monumental landmark and represents the largest office construction project in the capital's downtown area for the past 25 years. Broccolini's innovative design maximizes functional space with an environment that encourages flexible workspace and promotes collaboration. Composed of a metal and glass curtain wall with full glazing, the exterior envelope amplifies the natural light, fostering a pleasant work environment.

The design and development stage of this signature project was initiated in 2008. The construction started in the first quarter of 2009 and the building was delivered at the end of 2011.
